What I Learned
-
System design for building scalable web applications and best UX/UI to display big data to users
-
How to successfully bring an idea to MVP in one week (Sprint by Jake Knapp)
-
How to train a CNN and apply ML to a system. Even if a model works well in internal testing, it may not work well out in production.
-
The difficulties of mapping a deployment that is over a mile in distance with an off the shelf solution like gmapping
-
The importance of our field operators, especially when they need to save a robot at 2am because **someone (me)** remotely drove the robot into mud on a rainy night
My Favorite Memory
The engineering team in investigation mode, scrubbing robot video footage trying to find the culprit of who was hiding pizza in a coworkers motorcycle.
We caught the culprit -- it was a squirrel!
